Painted as part of the first Bedford Creative Arts mini-commission, the painting depicts me after waking up from facial surgery that followed an unprovoked attack in the street by two youths with a knuckleduster in 2009.

The paintings were inspired by a short stretch of coastline in South Devon, between Blackpool Sands and Torcross. Chris usually works on a larger scale but has produced these smaller more intimate pieces specifically for Pensieri.
Chris has had numerous solo shows and has been exhibiting and producing work for private commissions for a number of years. She was head of art at Sharnbrook Upper School from 1992 – 2010
